Though originally from Custer, WA, Jonathan has been an active performer and teaching online cello lessons in the Los Angeles area since 2005. He has performed internationally in England, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine, South Korea and China. As a chamber musician, Jonathan has competed at the Fischoff and Coleman competitions, and received guidance from the Kronos, St. Lawrence, Brentano, Lafayette, and Penderecki quartets. He has taught at Azusa Pacific University since 2008 and was a Teaching Fellow in the top-rated Musicology Department at UCLA. He has also taught for many years at private music academies and for prominent organizations like Harmony Project and Education Through Music—LA. Jonathan currently serves on the board of CalASTA as the Assistant Editor of statewide publications and blogs for cellobello.com. If not teaching or practicing, you will most likely find him training for his next marathon or 10k.
Kraig is a freelance double bassist and music educator. He has performed with the Santa Monica Symphony, Orange County Symphony, Symphony Irvine, West Covina Symphony, Dream Orchestra Los Angeles, Lyra Chamber Orchestra, Lake Avenue Chamber Symphony, and the American Youth Symphony among others. Kraig received degrees in double bass from Azusa Pacific University and California State University Los Angeles, where he also studied music education. In addition to teaching privately online cello lessons. Kraig is a double bass coach in Arcadia and San Gabriel School Districts and coaches bass sectionals for local youth orchestras.
